Fundraise for us

Parathyroid UK is run entirely by volunteers and our membership is free. We depend on your donations and fundraising. If you’d like to help us continue our activities in research, awareness, education and support please get involved.

You can choose to help in all sorts of different ways and, however small, your support will mean a lot and go a long way! Alternatively you can sponsor a fundraiser here

Feeling sporty?
If you have been successful in securing a place in a marathon or other sporting challenge and would like to support Parathyroid UK, please get in touch. We will publicise you and your event, provide you with T-shirts, sponsor forms and an online fundraising page.

Hold an event yourself
If sport isn’t your thing, you can hold a small event of your own. Popular events held by members have been a tattoo challenge, a curry night and a cocktail making party! Having a party? A cash bar can be a good idea with a percentage donated to us.

Set up a fundraising page or sponsor someone else
You can maximise the fundraising potential of any event by going online to set up your own donation page. Or why not sponsor someone else ? Go to our Sponsor a fundraiser page see who to support. It will help to spur them on and boost our income at the same time!

My reason for holding my 60th birthday party in aid of Parathyroid UK was to give something back after developing hypopara following surgery and having it for the rest of my life.

The support I received from Parathyroid UK was – and still is – so valuable. Learning to be positive living with any chronic long term health condition – YOU ruling it and not letting IT rule you – and learning that even having to go through throat/neck surgery there is a positive outcome.

PS. You never know where things might lead. That party changed my life. I had secret singing lessons to help my voice and surprised everyone with a perfomance at my party. Now, a few years later,  I’ve realised  my dream of becoming a singer.  Never give up!
